The Reaper

Along an empty road a figure walks along it leaves no tracks
down the empty road a foul dark wind blows at its back
and creeping crawling with it, hideous things out in the black
and as your eyes are cast upon it your sanity starts to crack
to a crossroads in the moonlight this figure stops to wait
it waits for you it waits alone it waits forever don’t be late

Reaper

As you approach its wings unfold and creeping crawling things surround you
And everything you thought was golden and so important now confounds you
its so profound how nothing matters when you’re face to face with death
and as the crawlies sink their teeth in you see there’s nothing left
as your lifeblood slips away the figure now it stands above you
pulls back its cowl and shows its face and now you know it’s death that loves you

You cry and scream it isnt over while the things eat at your flesh
and muscle tears and sinew rips and little teeth eat what is left
now as your lifeblood slips away the figure stands above you
pulls back its cowl shows its face and now you know it’s death that loves you.
